Hello and welcome to my blog! There isn't much here at the moment but for my first post I would like to tell you a little about myself and what I intend to blog about.

About Me

I am a software developer based in Sheffield. I am 28 years old, have a one year old daughter and I run my own software development business (Inflecto Systems). I don't have a lot of spare time as work and my daughter manage to keep me busy for most of the hours in the day but when I do have a spare moment I relax by mixing a few records. Unfortunately, I am not the best behind the turntables but I do really enjoy it and it helps me switch off from a long day at work.

As a developer I mainly focus on using Microsoft technologies (.NET / SQL Server) and have worked for both large multinational companies and very small companies. I have had experience of programming with a large variety of programming languages but now days I almost exclusively develop using C#. Part of my previous experience has been based in web design agencies so I also have an understanding and passion for good XHTML design and website accessibility.  

Why am I blogging? 

There are several reasons why I have decided to write a blog. The first is simply that everyone seems to have a blog now days so I thought I should join in. The second is that I am always searching around for useful bits of code that I have written and a blog seems like a good place to publish these snippets of code. Sharing this code with on the Internet will also hopefully draw constructive feedback which will be very welcome.
