Do Follow Blogs Search Engine

I just came across a dofollow blog search engine at www.inlineseo.com which is well worth checking out.

For those of you who don't know what a dofollow blog is. Most blogs when a user posts a comment with a link the engine attaches a "nofollow" tag to the link. Google states that "nofollow" links do not count towards back links to your site and hence won't increase your page rank or priority in Google searches.

My own SEO experience seems to contradict Google in that “nofollow” links whilst not appearing as back links in webmaster tools do indeed seem to be followed by Google and count towards page rank scores, however, I would certainly agree that links without the "nofollow" tag seem to offer more benefit.

Two things to note if you are going to use this search engin:

  1. If you are going to write a comment on somebody’s blog please make sure it is appropriate to the article. These people have allowed the vital page rank juice to flow back to the site you are promoting so please at least have the decency to read the post and write a comment which relates to the post.
  2. In my view it would be a bad idea to just have “dofollow” links from blogs pointing to your site or blog as Google would expect to see a mix of both. So I would continue to post on “nofollow” blogs as usual.
